Before working at JDRF I didn't have a personal connection to type 1, but since joining the charity I see the effects of type 1 on a daily basis through the meetings and conversations I have with our supporters.The cure would be amazing. It would mean that our families would no longer have a life filled with anxiety and that the devastating complications of type 1 would be eliminated.
My sister and I just returned from a two week activity holiday to Thailand which we won through the Zest magazine activity race - finally having a Hughes competitive streak pays off!
