JDRF launches 'virtual gift' range

JDRF has launched its first ever range of virtual gifts in time for Christmas. Gifts start at £6 and you can choose from products such as 'Grow a Beta Cell', some 'Precious Time', a 'Really Big Chemistry Set' or even some 'Bright Ideas'.

Katy Pickering, JDRF's Head of Donor Development said, "the virtual gifts are a fun way to support JDRF this Christmas. There are gifts to suit all budgets and tastes - 'Send a Rufus' makes a great stocking filler for kids while I think my mum might be in need of some 'Peace of mind' come Christmas morning. But the 'Genetic Explorer' is on my own personal Christmas wish list."

When you 'buy' a virtual gift, you are making a donation to JDRF. You will receive a card with an illustration and description of the gift you have chosen. This can then be sent on to the 'recipient'.

All the funds raised from these products will be channelled directly into JDRF's research or outreach programmes (depending on which gift has been selected).
