New development in insulin treatment

The news, announced at the American Diabetes Association annual scientific conference in Chicago, that an oral insulin capsule ‘Capsulin’, produced by Diabetology Ltd, could be available for people with diabetes has received positive interest worldwide.

Whilst this research tested the pill for use by people with type 2 diabetes, researchers believe that the success of the study shows that it may one day also be suitable for people with type 1 diabetes.
