Fifth Annual Effective and Advanced Treatments for Diabetes 2009 conference

JDRF funded researcher Professor David Dunger, from the University of Cambridge, is among those speaking at the fifth annual Effective and Advanced Treatments for Diabetes 2009 conference.

The two day event, for healthcare professionals and pharmaceutical and trade organisations, will cover topics including diabetes drugs and treatments, diabetic retinopathy and pharmacological therapies for diabetes treatment. Professor Dunger, who is currently studying the effects of statins and ACE inhibitors in adolescents with type 1 diabetes, will talk about the use of statins for all people with diabetes.

JDRF’s Director of Policy and Communications Sarah Johnson will also be speaking at the event, which takes place on the 3rd and 4th February.
