Pocket Guide - Understanding type 1 diabetes

JDRF Launches new pocket guide on type 1 diabetes

21/05/2009

JDRF has launched a new pocket guide to type 1 diabetes. ‘Understanding type 1 diabetes, a pocket guide’ aims to address some of the myths surrounding the condition and highlights the distinction between type 1 and type 2 diabetes. JDRF hopes the guide will help to emphasise that the causes of type 1 diabetes has no connection to diet and lifestyle.

The pocket guide, produced in collaboration with the UK Children with Diabetes advocacy group, also contains information on the signs and symptoms of type 1 diabetes, the known causes of the condition, treatment and information, and advice on hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar). The guide is perfect for those new to the condition, or those who are already living with type 1 diabetes who want to give information to their friends and colleagues.

To order copies, please visit our literature order form and fill in an online order form. Alternatively, please call 020 7713 2030 or email info@jdrf.org.uk.
