Life with type 1

Type 1 diabetes affects 400,000 in the UK and more than 29,000 of them are children.

The rate of people affected by type 1 diabetes is increasing by four per cent annually, particularly in children under five.

We do not know why, but we’re working towards finding the answers. JDRF is the leading charitable funder of type 1 diabetes research. And we exist to find the cure for type 1 diabetes and its complications.
